These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the US Auto History website and services. By accessing, browsing, or using our website, or by purchasing a vehicle history report from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or purchase our services.
1. About Our Services
US Auto History provides digital vehicle history reports based on vehicle information, including the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), submitted by customers.
Our services are intended to provide historical vehicle information that may assist customers when researching a vehicle.
All reports and products sold through our website are digital products/services. We do not sell or deliver physical products as part of the vehicle history report service.
2. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
A VIN is a unique identifier assigned to a vehicle.
Customers are responsible for entering the correct VIN and any other requested vehicle information.
Before completing a purchase, you should carefully review the information you have entered.
US Auto History is not responsible for information contained in a report generated from an incorrect VIN or incorrect information supplied by the customer.
3. Report Information
Our reports may contain information obtained from third-party databases, data providers, government records, insurance-related sources, auction records, and other available sources.
The information available for a particular vehicle may vary depending on the vehicle, its history, geographic location, reporting source, and availability of records.
We do not guarantee that every vehicle will have complete records or that every historical event will appear in a report.
The absence of an event from a report does not necessarily mean that the event never occurred.
4. Accuracy of Information
US Auto History makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and accurate history information.
However, we do not guarantee that all information contained in a report is complete, accurate, current, or error-free.
Third-party data may contain inaccuracies, omissions, delays, or inconsistencies.
History reports should therefore be considered an informational research tool and should not be treated as a guarantee of a vehicle’s condition, value, safety, ownership status, or future reliability.
5. Customer Responsibility
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information when using our services.
- Entering the correct VIN.
- Reviewing the information entered before purchasing.
- Ensuring that you have permission to provide any information submitted through our website.
- Using the report for lawful purposes.
- Independently evaluating a vehicle before purchasing it.
We recommend that customers also obtain an independent mechanical inspection and review relevant vehicle documentation before purchasing a used vehicle.
6. Pricing
The prices displayed on our website are the prices applicable to the products or services offered at the time of purchase, unless otherwise stated.
Prices may be changed, updated, or modified at any time.
Any applicable taxes, fees, or charges will be presented during the checkout process where applicable.
7. Payments
Payment must be successfully completed before a history report is generated or delivered.
Payments for our services are processed through the payment options made available during checkout.
We do not generally store customers’ complete payment card details on our own servers.
Payment providers may independently process and handle payment information in accordance with their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Order Confirmation
After a successful purchase, you may receive an order confirmation or other transaction-related communication.
An order confirmation confirms that your payment or order has been received. It does not necessarily guarantee that a report will contain any particular amount or type of history information.
9. Digital Report Delivery
History reports are delivered electronically.
Where the required data is available and the technical systems are operating normally, reports may be generated and made available shortly after successful payment.
Delivery times may occasionally be affected by technical problems, third-party data availability, system maintenance, payment verification, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a report cannot be delivered because of a technical problem on our side, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue.
10. Digital Products and Finality of Delivery
Because our history reports are digital products that may be generated specifically in response to a customer’s VIN request, a completed report may not be returnable in the same manner as a physical product.
Once a report has been successfully generated and delivered or made available to the customer, refunds are generally not available solely because the customer changes their mind or no longer wants the report.
Refunds may be considered in circumstances described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
11. Refunds and Cancellations
Our refund and cancellation rules are described in our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Where a report has not been successfully delivered because of a technical failure attributable to US Auto History, we will make reasonable efforts to provide the purchased service or otherwise resolve the issue.
Duplicate payments or other genuine transaction errors may also be reviewed.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove or restrict any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Marketplace Terms
US Auto History provides a platform for Private Sellers and Dealers to create listings for vehicles, watercraft, aircraft, and parts/accessories. US Auto History is solely a platform provider and is not a party to any transactions between buyers and sellers. All transactions and payments for marketplace items are completed directly between the buyer and seller outside of our platform.
Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of their listing descriptions, vehicle details, and uploaded photos.
Buyers are solely responsible for independently verifying listings, condition, ownership, and documentation before making any purchase or transferring any funds.
US Auto History does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, condition, ownership, legality, availability, value, or performance of any item represented in a marketplace listing.
Users may not post fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, or abusive listings. US Auto History reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to restrict, remove, deactivate, or otherwise moderate listings when reasonably necessary, and to suspend or restrict accounts for fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, or violations of these Terms.
Featured Promotion
Sellers may optionally purchase “Featured” promotion for their listings (e.g., Featured 3 Days, 7 Days, or 30 Days) to receive enhanced placement and visibility on the marketplace.
Featured promotion applies only for the purchased duration. Once the promotion expires, the listing will return to standard placement unless renewed.
Purchasing Featured placement does not guarantee views, inquiries, leads, purchases, or sales.
Cancellation or refund eligibility for Featured promotions is governed by our separate Refund & Cancellation Policy. (Note to Management: Please confirm specific business rules for Featured promotion refunds/cancellations to be included in the Refund Policy).
12. Third-Party Data Providers
Our services may rely on information obtained from third-party data providers and databases.
US Auto History does not control the underlying records maintained by these third parties.
We therefore cannot guarantee the availability, completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of third-party information.
A third-party data source may update, remove, correct, restrict, or discontinue information without notice.
13. No Guarantee of Vehicle Condition
A vehicle history report is not a substitute for a professional vehicle inspection.
A report does not guarantee:
- The current mechanical condition of a vehicle.
- The current physical condition, ownership, legality, availability, or value of a vehicle or marketplace item.
- Future reliability.
- Future repair costs.
- Vehicle safety.
- Vehicle value.
- That a vehicle has never been damaged.
- That every accident or incident has been reported.
- That every previous owner or event is included in available records.
Customers should conduct appropriate independent research and independently verify listings, condition, ownership, and documentation before making a purchase.
14. Use of Reports
Reports are provided for personal and informational vehicle research purposes.
You may not use our reports for unlawful purposes or in a manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, databases, accounts, or services.
15. Website Use
You agree not to:
- Use the website for unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to interfere with website security or operation.
- Introduce malicious software or code.
- Attempt to access areas of the website that you are not authorized to access.
- Abuse automated systems or services.
- Misrepresent your identity or information.
- Use our services in a manner that could damage, overload, or disrupt the website.
We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect our website, customers, or services.
16. Customer Accounts
Where account functionality is available, customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for activity conducted through their account.

We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably believe there has been unauthorized access, fraudulent activity, abuse, or violation of these Terms.

You may use information and reports purchased through our services for their intended personal or lawful business purpose.
You may not reproduce, resell, redistribute, commercially exploit, copy, or republish our website content or services without appropriate authorization.
18. Customer Reviews and Testimonials
Customers may have the opportunity to submit reviews or testimonials about their experience with US Auto History.
By submitting a review, you confirm that the content you provide is truthful and does not knowingly contain unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading information.
We may review submitted content before publication and may reject, remove, or edit content where reasonably necessary to comply with our policies or applicable law.
We do not publish customers’ private email addresses or other confidential information as part of a public review.
19. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites and services.
Third-party services, including payment providers and data providers, operate under their own terms and policies.
US Auto History is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of third-party websites or services that we do not control.
20. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our website and services are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.
We do not warrant that:
- The website will always be available or uninterrupted.
- The website will be completely free from errors.
- Every vehicle, watercraft, or aircraft will have available historical records.
- Every report will contain complete history information.
- Third-party information will always be accurate or current.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, US Auto History will not be responsible for losses resulting from decisions made solely on the basis of information contained in a history report.
This includes, where legally permitted, losses relating to an item’s or vehicle’s purchase, sale, condition, ownership, value, repairs, maintenance, or future performance.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
22. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims arising from your unlawful use of our website, violation of these Terms, or misuse of our services.
23. Service Availability
We may temporarily suspend or restrict access to the website or services for maintenance, security updates, technical issues, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We will make reasonable efforts to restore affected services when possible.

When changes are made, the updated version will be posted on this page together with a revised Last Updated date.
